The first step in the coating process is to use a product called CarPro Eraser. Eraser allows us to remove any compound / polish and residue that may have been left over from the paint correction process. AMG is the top of the line when it comes to Mercedes-Benz. Almost every AMG is more expensive and the highest performing variant in each Mercedes-Benz class. With a vehicle like this C63S, our customer wanted to take the utmost care and use the best products available to keep his Benz protected. With all of that being said, we applied CQuartz Professional ceramic coating to all exterior painted surfaces, coated the wheels (faces, barrels and brake calipers), coated the leather interior / dash, performed a 1-step paint correction and provided him with his own set of washing supplies to maintain the ceramic coating! CQuartz Finest Reserve is one of the newest ceramic paint coatings on the market! Reserve is an extremely complex hybrid blend of SIO2 infused epoxy nano particles which create a long lasting (3-5 year) high gloss finish. Not only does this coating look "freshly waxed" for many years, it is extremely resistant to water spots, acids, solvents, ice, oils, dirt, UV, and all types of environmental attacks!

First we go over the vehicle to assess what issues need to be fixed. Next we used a clay towel to remove any surface contaminants the initial wash didn't remove. As we clayed the car, we found that there was a lot of surface contamination we couldn't see just by looking at the vehicle. Most of the chrome trim had hard water spotting so we had to use some elbow grease to get these out with some metal polish!The convertible top had years of dirt build up from sitting in storage. One of our most recent customers, has been building this Pontiac GTO for several years now. It has been in and out of multiple shops getting a full rotisserie restoration. Since he has devoted a huge chunk of time and money, into this GTO, he wanted the final piece of the puzzle to be a paint correction and Cquartz ceramic coating to keep the car looking freshly waxed for many years to come. We also recommended getting his new vinyl top coated to give it that rich black look!
In order for us to properly gauge what compounds, pads and polishes we need to use to correct the paint, we needed to do a few test spots. We thought a 1-step polish would be sufficient enough but we found a 1.5 step polish was the better option. After the polishing was all completed we moved on to the ceramic coating process!
